Gajah Gallery was founded in 1996 by artistic director Jasdeep Sandhu, who is among the most respected gallerists in the regional art scene today. Job Description

We are seeking a highly-motivated and independent graphic designer intern to assist with creating online and printed materials to support the ongoing gallery program. 

Design interns will work with the gallery team to produce exhibition catalogs, online content, and media collaterals as well as update and maintain the gallery website. Interns will contribute to a supportive work environment while acquiring skills and fostering an understanding of the larger art market. 

Prior experience is preferred, and candidates are requested to submit portfolios of previous work. 


  • Collaborate with artists, curators, and gallery team to develop creative designs, marketing campaigns and exhibition materials
  • Report directly to the Gallery Manager/Lead Designer
  • Update gallery website, social media platforms, and related online platforms
  • Assist with adhoc preparation for gallery events 

Ideal candidates should be:

  • Able to articulate ideas and contribute to fast-paced group discussions
  • Meticulous with good organization skills
  • Able to complete tasks independently
  • Adaptable and receptive to feedback

Requirements:

  • Possess diploma or higher qualifications in Graphic Design; applicants who are still studying or possess relevant experience are also welcome to apply
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML coding would be beneficial
