Job Description

The Role

In this internship you will work closely with the Marketing and Digital Solutions team, as well as the wider Marketing team to drive the AFC’s Fan Engagement & CRM program. You will be guided to work on CRM/ fan engagement initiatives projects, collaboration with partners and third-party, strategic CRM planning for the AFC and together with the team to drive strong growth targets through exciting fan engagement actions. To be able to manage successfully, you will need to coordinate and communicate with internal cross teams as well as external partners and agencies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the (non-technical) implementation and maintenance of the all-new AFC CRM system
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Digital Solutions team to further develop and implement a fan acquisition and fan engagement execution plan
  • Help to design and deliver ‘best practice’ user journeys that drive fan data acquisition.
  • Understand and able to execute CRM and Marketing Campaign Automation tools at hand with the objective of retaining fans of AFC football within the wider AFC ecosystem and turning fans into advocates of the AFC competitions and channels
  • Research and Propose innovative solutions that help optimize the fan experience as well as our collaboration with the AFC, Member Associations, Clubs, players and coaches
  • Help to plan and project manage the development of games, contests and other marketing initiatives that drive CRM fan data growth with your report line
  • Work closely with the FMA Business Intelligence team to define and understand CRM fan segments. Evaluate fan preferences and behavior, and analyze current and past fan engagement initiatives to optimize future initiatives and communication; deliver insights and propose ways to optimize and improve fan experience.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Applicants must be bachelor's or master's degree program in a field related to the internship position.
  • Preferred areas of study may include Marketing / CRM Tool / Data Analytics / Business Intelligence
  • A sports fan, football fan would be a plus
  • Brief understanding of fan / user experience processes and logic
  • Have some knowledge on fan data engagement and CRM databases enhencement
  • Knowledge and eager to learn spirit of CRM tools (ideally SAP and Emarsys) and implementation of growth / retention initiatives across owned and operated channels
  • Project management skill is a plus
  • MS office proficiency
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
