As a Business Analyst intern at Eventerprise, you’ll work in Business Intelligence and will develop real-life strategic business solutions, and financial scenario planning. You’ll be responsible for understanding and evaluating customer business and profitable BI requirements, and developing and deploying new high quality BI solutions. The purpose of this internship is to prepare you for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the business functions of a global SaaS platform.
We’re looking for candidates who are in their final year of college or are recent graduates, who are digitally savvy and have an interest in the tech sector.
As an international intern, you’ll be working out of our operational hub in Cape Town, South Africa, one of the world’s top travel destinations. At our open plan office, you’ll be given the chance to work across departments and interact with top level management. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of a multinational business with a global customer base
- Develop strategies to mitigate the impact of the economic environment on our organisation’s performance
- Identify source data, source systems and data mapping required for Business Intelligence solutions
- Develop strategies and design BI Solutions that are creative, flexible, scalable and reusable based on best practices, and aimed at balance sheet optimisation.
- Work with teams to develop, design, improve, and generate reports for end users, as well as compile relevant reports that highlight key economic trends and their potential impact on the Eventerprise business model.
- Continually seek to improve existing reporting processes, frequency, and distribution methods by incorporating automation techniques, initiatives, and technology trends
- Ensure the integrity and 100% accuracy of all reports
Requirements
- Economics, Accounting or Finance related qualification
- Sound knowledge of SaaS and subscription business models
- Exposure to Microsoft BI tools PowerPivot, Power BI and SQL query writing
- High level of digital proficiency and computer literacy, specifically Excel spreadsheets
- Well-developed analytical, data analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strategic capability in financial planning and forecasting
- Able to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
Depending on your departmental assignment, there will be additional responsibilities and requirements.
