Job Description

Continuous Improvement

  • Owner of LEAN methodologies in operations (LIFE) with the support of regional operations team.
  • Sustaining and strengthening current LEAN practices. Eg, Daily LEAN meetings, WIP and FIFO management, 5S.
  • Initiate and manage projects related to innovation and improvement in operations.
  • Maintain list of Change Requests and JIRA tickets relevant to Singapore entity and keep track of implementation status.

Standard Operating Procedures Governance

  • Coordinate the definition of Standard Operating Procedures for operations.
  • Coordinate SOP signoff process with respective department heads, operations manager and general manager.
  • Maintain directory of SOPs in Google Drive.
  • Conduct regular reviews on SOPs, identify potential areas of improvement and coordinating action plans to secure changes.

Operations Reporting and Analysis

  • Consolidation of operations reports (Service, Yield, Cost, Inventory).
  • Organize monthly meetings with operations and commercial teams to review on operations performance.
  • Analyze trends in KPIs and launch improvement actions working with respective department heads.

Other Operations Duties

  • Support stock take preparations conducted bi-yearly
  • To execute and coordinate user acceptance testing in NG/AX where needed
  • To support in order delivery where needed (eg, stock take or increased order volume during peak period)

Expected level of competency of the role

  • Proactive, assertive and efficient in driving positive change in operations.
  • Proficient in utilizing analysis tools in making data driven decisions in operations.
  • Comfortable being on the ground and proactively identify opportunities to improve on daily operations.
  • Able to map out clearly the work processes within the company with the use of standard Microsoft Office tools and Bizagi modeler for illustration with flow charts.
  • Comfortable with IT to support User Acceptance Testing related to bug fixes and new functionalities in NG & AX. 

Qualification, work experience and other requirements 

  • Degree in Supply Chain or any area of discipline in Engineering preferred.
  • At least 2 years of working experience with some exposure to LEAN preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
