In Singapore, the R&D branch of EDF Group has launched EDF Lab Singapore in 2014 to explore and develop solutions to help decision makers and developers achieve their vision of smart and sustainable cities. Working with the Singaporean government (HDB) and local universities (NUS, SUTD, SIT, ESSEC), EDF Lab Singapore is rooting a strong expertise adapted to the Singaporean and South East Asian context.
EDF Lab Singapore is looking for a talent to work with our cross-disciplinary research team in developing smart city solutions. This role will provide you a unique opportunity to work on projects involving smart mobility, e-mobility, and EV charging infrastructure in South East Asia.
You will be learning not only the day-to-day responsibilities of a researcher within our team, but will be tasked with project that directly supports the goals of the EDF Lab Singapore.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to transport demand model methodology
- Contribute to transport model development (agent-based) and simulation
- Research on battery swapping technology, use cases and business models in Asia
- Research on EV infrastructure and its optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any engineering, mathematics, computer science, or other related discipline
- Experience in modelling and simulation software (e.g. MATSim, AnyLogic)
- Experience in programming (e.g. Java, Python)
- Interest or experience in transport demand model, urban mobility, e-mobility
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Eligible to work in Singapore
- Able to commit at least 3 months or more
