Design Research Intern
EDF Lab Singapore is looking for a talented designer to work with our cross-disciplinary research team in developing smart city solutions.
Together with the support of the R&D team in Europe, we have developed a 3D simulation platform to assist urban planners in assessing the energy and economic impacts of the refurbishment and development of HDB towns. As part of the New Urban Kampung research project with SUTD, the platform is evolving to add new functionalities related to Quality of Life of HDB towns and their residents.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with our product development team to create improved user experiences
- Conduct research and design workshops with stakeholders to identify user requirements
- Conceptualise, prototype, and wireframe UX designs and flows for testing and iterating
- Bridge the gap between UI and UX
We are looking for someone with:
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools
- An understanding of design principles and user experience frameworks
- Proficiency in web design languages (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
- A high level of initiative, curiosity, and creativity
- Strong presentation skills, facilitation skills are a bonus
