ECOPONICS is a training provider that provides Arts, Science and Environmental Education Programs to Schools in Singapore. We conduct enrichment workshops to students in schools. We believe that hands-on learning helps students to learn better and increases their interest in learning Science. Some of our popular programs are: Terrarium Making, Mushroom Growing, Urban farming, Hydroponics and many more.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual who wants to make a difference in the students’ life. As our Science and Environmental programs have numerous hands-on activities, you will be trained in executing the activities and also given the opportunity to teach the students.
To constantly keep our Science programs fresh, you will also be tasked to come up with new Science programs through our guidance.
- To Learn to Plan and Conduct of Science and Environmental Programmes for Schools
- To undergo a 4-8 week training session with Full Time Instructors
- To go through lesson observations of Full Time Instructors to observe and learn, then practice and receive feedback on how to improve
- To start conducting of lessons with supervision from Full Time Instructors
- Learn to develop new teaching resources for student activities (Science)
- Research and develop new programme ideas
- Observe lessons and experience how the resources and programme contents are created and used during the lessons
- Step by step guidance on resource creation from Content Creation Team
- Review and improvement of resource after completion of development
- Try out newly created resource during a lesson, then review and revise again
- Provide review of students progress through the course
Objectives:
- To be able to conduct their own lessons to a class of students
- To develop at least one new programme for Science and execute it to schools
- To review and improve current programme activities
Requirements:
• Comfortable to speak in front of an audience
• out-going, fun loving, cheerful
• Good command of English
• Strong interest in Science
