Job Description

Dulwich College (Singapore) is seeking for an Intern in its Mathematics department in the Senior School (equivalent to Secondary) starting in August 2025. The intern will support staff and students through administrative and developmental tasks, while also assisting in the supervision of small group problem-solving activities. 

The internship will be for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General support and contribution to the mathematics department as needed, including but not limited to, curriculum design, lesson preparation and assessment creation.
  • Support the organisation and administration of the College's international mathematics competitions.
  • Assist in developing and running new competitions within Dulwich Schools, Singapore, or other affiliated organisations (FORBISIA, SEAMC, etc.).
  • Coordinate logistics for mathematics trips and events.
  • Contribute to Maths CCAs (Alpha, Beta, Gamma Groups) by creating problem-solving activities, and enrichment programs such as "Problem of the Week."
  • Help maintain and update in-class and corridor displays to encourage continuous engagement with mathematics.
  • Support staff and students during lesson time.
  • All other duties commensurate with the post.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in relevant subject OR currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in mathematics education and student engagement
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident communication and interpersonal abilities, especially with students
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Creative and resourceful in developing educational materials and displays
  • Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or educational support (preferred but not essential)
