Digital Place Vision Pte Ltd – R&D Intern (Robotics)

The company is focusing itself in building AI and Automation solutions for Retailers within the group. 

Our R&D team focuses on applications of robotics, AI & machine learning to solve large-scale business problems in retail and supply chain management, collaborating with both colleagues and partner organizations in Singapore and abroad.

Tracks: Engineering Systems and Design, Engineering Product Development, Computer Science and Design, Design and Artificial Intelligence

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python is a must.

Good knowledge of software engineering and data engineering concepts, such as algorithmic complexity, architectural patterns, software quality assurance.

Some experience in projects (academic or commercial) that involves software and hardware integration will be a plus.

Experience with drones and knowledge of drone technology will be a plus.

Experience with Robotic Operating System (ROS) will be a plus.

Experience with image/video processing will be a plus.

Objectives:

The overall objective of the project (which involves both full-time R&D team members and the intern) is to build solutions based on an existing drone platform. This may involve integration of camera or other sensors and writing code to control drone behavior or process data from sensors.

Deliverables:

The intern is expected to work together with other R&D team members to improve the codebase through algorithm optimization, feature addition, and/or quality improvements.
