Job Description

Purpose of the job:
MKTG is a global experiential and lifestyle marketing agency, dedicated to creating experiences that build communities and humanize brands.
There won’t be one specific project that you will be assigned. You will support across multiple projects – each with their own set of deliverables and objectives. You will receive broad exposure to a variety of clients in different industries, assisting with various tasks on each.
In general, typical duties that you will be tasked with include:
•Vendor Management: liaising with 3rd party partners, booking/ordering equipment and supplies needed for our events, creating and maintaining documents, tracking timelines and budgets, processing and tracking invoices and payments
•Liaising With Internal Teams: communicating with creative team and other internal agency partners (digital, media, production, tech)
•Presentations/Decks: Leading or assisting with creation of PowerPoint presentations used as pitch proposals, event recaps, or other deliverables for clients
•Research & Strategy: assisting with pitch process by contributing to brainstorms, concept ideation, industry trends/competitive research, and sourcing assets
You will have exposure to and support each step of the entire campaign life cycle – pitching/proposal, pre-event work, event execution, post-event recapping and evaluation.
By the end of the internship, you should be familiar with each of these stages and have an understanding of the tasks involved at each level

You Are:
•Organized
Must have a very strong attention to detail, be well organized, have the ability to multi-task, and able to maintain assets and documents in an orderly fashion. You’ll be working with a team that’s very detail-oriented, and typos make them cringe…
•Outgoing
We want you to have a life outside of work and a pulse on what’s going on around town (and the world). As marketers, we need to be up with trends, having lots of experiences, attending events, and drawing inspiration from everything around us. In order to sell fun, we need to be fun!
•Independent & Responsible
We’re a fast-paced agile environment, meaning there’s no typical day. You’ll be working just as much from the office as you will be remotely, onsite at events, and from the road. Sometimes there are long nights and weekend work required (made up with weekdays off and late mornings sleeping in).
An ability to maintain projects independently is essential. You’ll be expected to manage your time responsibly, stay on top of your tasks, and meet all deadlines – whether you’re together with your team or working on your own. Our team’s in contact constantly, so don’t stress – we’ll show you the ropes.
•Inquisitive & Outspoken
Must have an insatiable appetite for knowledge, and desire to learn from your colleagues, peers and mentors. You should strive to know more about your clients, their competition, their business environment and so on, more than anyone else. We want people who present their own point of view on topics and not just be a voyeur. We want you to bring fresh perspectives and encourage debate.
•Driven
Have the energy, initiative and commitment to be asking for more work. Make an effort get to know colleagues in the agency; creative, media, digital and all supporting departments. Work hard and be willing to go the extra mile, learning quickly and as much as you can. Be open to feedback and always put your best effort forward.

Qualifications:
•Have a strong interest in marketing, especially experiential and lifestyle
•Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a tertiary education institution (University, Polytechnic)
•Preferably studying/studied marketing/advertising/branding/mass communications
