The team consists of experienced Arborists, certified with the International Society of Arboriculture and holding diverse skillsets, including staff experienced in Tree Aerial Access, Ground Information Systems, as well as obtaining regulatory approvals from authorities.

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Arborist (Intern) to support our team in delivering professional tree assessment and consulting services. As part of a private landscape consultancy specializing in Visual Tree Assessments (VTA) and urban tree management, you will gain meaningful exposure to the science and practice of assessing tree health, structure, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with on-site Visual Tree Assessments under the guidance of certified arborists
  • Collect and document tree data, including species, condition, and structural observations
  • Support in preparing tree assessment reports, maps, and photographic records
  • Participate in research and analysis to recommend appropriate tree care or management actions
  • Ensure safe work practices during fieldwork and contribute to quality control of data
  • Possibility to participate in landscape maintenance work or implementation

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma/Degree in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscape Design/Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in tree biology, health assessment, and urban forestry
  • Good observation and note-taking skills; attention to detail
  • Comfortable working outdoors and at various sites across Singapore
  • Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills
