The Team

We are made up of a small group of young and committed individuals sharing the common vision of providing students direct and instant access to quality tutors. Our core management team emphasizes heavily on culture fit and finding individuals who are able to share the company's vision. Working Environment

Cudy headquarters is currently located in the centre of Singapore's downtown core at Singapore Management University's co-working office managed by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You can locate us at 60 Stamford Road, Singapore 178900. Linked directly to Bras Basah MRT and 5 minutes walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT. 1 minute walk to Koufu and 3 minutes walk to Food Republic.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Create personas through user research and data
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

Requirements

  • Background in UI design
  • Demonstrable UI design skills
  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Some Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Some Background as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
  • Background in project management and research
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript; Angular; NodeJS
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
