Back End Web Developer Intern (Full Time / Part Time) - Join An Edtech Startup
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
●Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
●Write clean code to develop functional web applications
●Troubleshoot and debug applications
●Collaborate with front-end developer sto integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
●Gather and address technical and design requirements
●Provide training and support to internal teams
●Build reusable code and libraries for future use
●Liaise with developers and designers to identify new features
●Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and technical best practices
●Work effectively in Agile/Scrum development process
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
●Experience with back-end development of web applications
●Strong programming fundamentals
●Solid understanding on key data structures and algorithm concepts
●Familiarity on various programming paradigms
●Familiarity of different design patterns and principles is a plus
●Strong proficiency in back-end languages and frameworks (e.g. PHP, Node.JS, Ruby, Python)
●Familiarity with source control services (e.g. GitHub, BitBucket)
●Strong foundation in database and storage management (e.g. mySQL queries and mySQL management software)
●Familiarity with alternative database storages, as well as database scaling is a plus
●Good knowledge in web application infrastructure and constructs
●Strong foundation in HTTP protocol, and RESTful APIs
●Good grasp on key networking concepts (e.g. IP and DNS)
●Familiarity on Service Oriented Architecture is a plus
●In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (e.g. design, development and deployment)
●Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
●Excellent analytical and time management skills
●Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
●Experience with Devops workflow and toolkits are a plus
