Cuddlefish Divers is Singapore’s top-rated SSI Dive Centre — a fun, community-driven place where divers come together to train, travel, and explore the ocean. We’re opening up a limited number of **Divemaster Trainee (DMT)** internship spots for people who are serious about becoming professional divers and potentially joining our team full-time.
### **What You'll Be Doing**
as a DMT, you'll go through real-world training that covers every part of being a dive professional. You won’t just be learning from textbooks — you’ll be on the ground (and in the water), gaining hands-on experience and building up your confidence.
Here’s what your days might look like:
#### **Dive Ops**
* Assist instructors with pool and open water training sessions
* Guide certified divers on local dives
* Learn to set up, maintain, and pack down dive gear
* Help with dive briefings and safety procedures
* Join us on boat trips and support diving logistics onboard the *Cuddleboat*
#### **Dive Centre Life**
* Greet customers and help them with dive gear and bookings
* Get familiar with our retail space (yes, you’ll learn how to sell fins and masks too)
* Keep the dive shop tidy, stocked, and running smoothly
* Learn basic gear servicing and tank filling
#### **Boat Duties**
* Act as a deckhand on the *Cuddleboat* — help with ropes, dive deck setup, and general boat operations
* Assist with cleanup and post-trip maintenance
#### **Extras (Optional but Fun)**
* Join our dive trips to places like Malaysia or Indonesia
* Help with community events, cleanup dives, or social media content
* Contribute to our blog or help snap a few good photos underwater
### **Who This Is For**
We’re looking for someone who’s:
* At least 18 years old
* Already an SSI Advanced Adventurer (or equivalent)
* Physically fit and comfortable in the water
* Great with people, calm under pressure, and eager to learn
* Okay with working weekends and public holidays (diving happens when the sun’s out!)
**Bonus if you already have:**
* Rescue Diver or First Aid certification
* Customer service or retail experience
* Basic boating knowledge
### **What’s Next After the Internship?**
If all goes well and you're a good fit for the team, we’ll offer you a **full-time Divemaster position**:
You’ll continue growing with us, taking on more responsibilities, running trips, teaching, and helping new divers fall in love with the underwater world — just like you did.
