Junior Software Engineer (SG)
We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer to work on digital developments and projects. You will be responsible for technical implementation to solve real business problems and will be one of the key members to design and define the structure of our software systems.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development and implementation of different digital solutions for internal business users and external clients.
- Collaborate with designers to maintain and improve the regional websites, microsites, newsletter and various web applications.
- Manage and collaborate with marketing specialists to automate the content publishing in social media channels.
- Work directly across all functional teams (Client Development, Product, Marketing & Engineering) to provide support to various digital projects.
Experience Required
- Degree in Computer Science and another related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in working on software system.
- Good understanding and knowledge in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, etc).
- Experience in object-oriented programming and some experience with MVC frameworks.
- Experience with Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL and able to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
- Experience in working with version control systems such as Git and issue tracking tools such as Jira, Trello or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving skill and ability to think out of the box.
- Experience in building mobile web apps and/or mobile apps is a plus.
- Excited to work in a start-up environment and able to learn fast.
