Conergy Asia is one of the region's largest downstream solar companies — specializing in the development, design, finance, build and long-term asset management of commercial, industrial and utility scale solar power systems. Conergy has served as the EPC contractor and O & M service provider for approximately half a gigawatt of solar plants in Asia Pacific. The Company has operations in Japan, Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Germany.
In this position, you will be working within the Regional Operations & Maintenance team based in Singapore. The main objective of the position is to evaluate a new solar PV monitoring software platform and to assist in the potential transition towards a potentially new platform. Focus areas of the evaluation are the detection and root cause analysis of system underperformance as well as weather forecasting functionalities.
The Solar PV Analyst will report to the Vice President O&M.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Testing the new PV monitoring platform
- Perform data analysis from solar PV monitoring platforms.
- Assess performance and functionalities of the new solar PV monitoring software platforms.
- Create and present assessment results.
- Perform market research for weather forecasting providers specifically for solar PV.
Qualifications
- Post graduate qualifications in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology
- Background in Solar Engineering and/or Renewable Energy
- Strong knowledge & prior experience in weather forecasting technologies
- Excellent analytical skills
- Programming of Microsoft VBA, Python and Mathlab
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Prior experience working in a multi-cultural team
- Fluency in English
