We are looking for an IoT Intern to support the development and deployment of connected sensing and AI-enabled solutions for the built environment.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Assist with designing, assembling, testing, and deploying IoT sensor devices and gateways for construction sites.

• Support firmware, device integration, data acquisition, and communications testing using relevant protocols and tools.

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyse sensor data; help troubleshoot connectivity, data quality, and hardware issues.

• Work with the engineering and product teams to integrate IoT data with cloud dashboards, analytics, and AI workflows.

• Conduct field testing and site deployments, document results, and prepare technical reports and documentation.

• Contribute to experiments and prototypes that improve construction productivity, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IoT, or a related discipline.

• Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, microcontrollers, embedded systems, networking, or wireless communications.

• Familiarity with Python or another programming language; experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, MQTT, APIs, or cloud platforms is a plus.

• Analytical, hands-on, and resourceful with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly, and document work carefully.

• Comfortable with occasional on-site work and learning in a fast-paced deep-tech start-up environment.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world AI and IoT applications in Singapore’s construction industry.
