Role:

The Purchasing Intern will assist the Regional Senior Buyer with implementing Club Med’s Purchasing strategy to the purchasing categories (mainly Food & Beverages) both for Club Med resorts & offices in South-East Asia-Pacific.


Your main responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist Regional Senior Buyer to conduct market watch (suppliers, market)
  • Participate in the Group purchasing strategy definition and prepare application on the geography
  • Participate in defining supplier strategy on the categories: supplier panel definition & evolutions, detailed strategy by supplier, working methods etc.
  • Support Regional Senior Buyer with the management of regular tenders to optimize the prices as well as maintaining the Blanket Orders with the system
  • Assist with the consolidation & analysis of internal users’ needs (specifications, recommendations).
  • Analysis of data, follow-up of consumption, recommendations for the resorts, update of databases & products catalogues (Oracle) prices, quantities.
  • Collect needs (characteristics, volumes) of the various entities on the geography and consolidate them.
  • Aid Regional Senior Buyer with local sourcing.      
  • Support Regional Senior Buyer in measuring and tracking supplier performance against defined objective on his geography.
Job Description
  • Preferably graduates/ student in Procurement or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated interest in hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Chinese & French is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - pivot table, database, formula etc. & PowerPoint are highly required, Word)
  • Well organized, detailed for figures and ability to deliver results on time
  • Possess negotiation/ commercial sense
