Job Description

[Remote] Contract Position – Delegate Sales (Thai-speaking)

Clarion Events Asia is looking for a Delegate Sales for a contracted period to help out for an upcoming digital event.

If you are a fresh graduate from university or looking for an internship in the events sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience in event management, specifically in managing delegate attendance, arranging meetings and providing excellent customer service.

In this unique role, you will be the “front-face” for all conference delegates and VIPs. You will be in charge of bringing on board senior level decision makers to attend our events and act as a key point of contact for all event attendees – delegates, VIPs, speakers and sponsors. This role will also require an understanding of content, basic industry knowledge of the insurance value chain and direct selling skills to acquire paying delegates. We will provide training to guide you along the way.

If you are personable, have a dynamic disposition, a keen learner and are confident speaking with senior executives over the phone, this is a role for you! 

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified or undergraduate looking for an internship
  • Strong relationship building skills, stakeholder management and social media skills to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Highly performance driven, possessing exceptional interpersonal qualities and able to work independently and in a team
  • Dependable – takes responsibility for own actions, keeps commitments
  • Able to work with tight deadlines, manage time and balance tasks 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Detailed oriented, organised and tech savvy

Job specifications

  • To be the main point of contact and act in a dual role – VIP and Paying Delegate Manager to source C-suite and other key decision makers from the insurance and related industries to attend our events
  • Set up and manage the networking platform and handle enquiries before and onsite at the event
  • To manage registrations of attendees
  • To be the main point of contact onsite for attendees
  • To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors and exhibitors
  • To provide sponsors and attendees with a truly great experience pre and during the conference and to provide a fantastic service element to the networking process
