Job Description
Carro is seeking to hire a Data Engineer Intern for our Acoustic Engineering team.
We are looking for a data engineer to collect and analyse engine sound data to produce useful trends and analytics. While this will be a hands-on role, it is not necessary for applicants to be well-versed with vehicle engineering - our car experts will provide the relevant training. Successful applicants can thus expect to learn some basic knowledge of vehicle engineering and machine learning data models.
Responsibilities
- Seek useful car related data from different sources
- Simulate different scenarios to produce different type of engine sounds
- Record sound data with correct labels using phone application
- Upload the data to the database
- Clean data and do some basic data analysis
- Learn and test mobile applications we built
Requirements
- Able to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, initiative, hunger to achieve results, resourcefulness and a team player.
- Final year students and fresh graduates majoring in Engineering or relevant fields.
- Car lover is preferred
- Provide tangible solutions and workarounds to complex issues
- Highly motivated with a sense of ownership
- Committed to overseeing tasks from end-to-end towards completion
