International Sales Development Internship
Job Description
A high-performing sales team is the key to success within our organization. We are looking for a reliable sales development representative (SDR) to assist us identify and analyze prospective customers worldwide.
- Ideal SDRs have: 
- Attention to detail and patience 
- Ability to research all aspects of leads (location, company, if they are good potential targets) 
- Problem solving ability on how to deal with non responsive leads 
- Ability to set up sales closers for success by fully analyzing and qualifying prospects 
- No fear of failure 
- Ability to operate independently 
Internship Goal
- Strategy – assist team clarify sales and marketing flow and targets 
- Marketing – work with marketing team to qualify sales targets 
- Sales – assist sales team engage with these leads in order to increase sales growth 
Working Location
- Remote (must be available for biweekly Skype meetings with managers and available for Skype calls with teammates) 
Responsibilities Overview
- Sales Strategy - Utilizing various sales channels to generate sales opportunities 
- Proactively seeking new business opportunities in the market 
- Reporting to sales manager with weekly and monthly KPIs 
 
- Management of Leads/Opportunities - Using Zoho Content Relationship Marketing (CRM) software - adding leads to the system, updating lead information, responding to client’s queries 
- After qualifying clients, updating pipeline of Opportunities and target accounts in CRM 
 
- Client Problem Solving - Understanding client requirements and communicating to team 
- Working with the procurement team to respond to clients queries 
- Client engagement and follow up 
 
- Client Development - Engaging with potential clients on Social Media e.g. LinkedIn 
- Identifying ideal clients and working on already existing accounts in CRM 
- Identifying prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products 
- Building long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities 
- Setting up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives 
 
Internship Requirement
- A quick learner and ability to work independently after training 
- Have an attention to detail (e.g. researching company details, contacts of target clients) 
- Strong communication skills via written and spoken English 
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills 
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization 
- Experience in data entry and basic analysis is a plus 
Desired Skills & Experience
- Willingness to work on international trade 
- Willingness to learn especially in terms of related industries i.e. mining, construction, trade 
- Willingness to research and learn about sales and implement lessons learned to real world 
- Strong customer relationship management ability and/or business development ability 
- Work experience in either a start-up company or a sales-oriented company is preferred but not required

- Understand the real challenges that occur before, during and after international trade especially when trading goods by sea 
- Understand how a complete sales cycle occurs from marketing to sales to execution using real life examples

- Learn to communicate and engage with international multicultural team and diverse client base from all over the world
