Job Description

Engagement and Outreach Intern (Programme Management)

If you’re a people person, and like to work with other youth, this is for you! It’s a very hands-on, creative role where you won’t let perfect be the enemy of good, and where you get to experiment, review and improve programmes and activities over time. You’ll learn how a small entity grows its presence and influence, and expand its network to bring in new partners. Useful experience for any front-facing role in future.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the youth ambassadors under our Ride The Wave programme to ensure the smooth execution of their projects.

  2. Engage potential partner organisations to start new collabs.

  3. Work with volunteers to design and conduct outreach and event activities.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  • To pick up skills in project planning and monitoring.

  • To learn how to cultivate new partnerships - planning, pitching, follow-through.

  • To experience learning-by-doing and problem-solving in a nonprofit startup, and gain transferable skills that you can apply to any job.
