Job Description

Project Manager

The Project Manager will be working on a diverse range of projects/ accounts across media and will be responsible for the liaison of daily work operations across departments in the agency. The role will require the Project Manager to work with creative, account servicing and the studio to ensure that all agreed deadlines will be met and any resource issues are dealt with. You will also be required to book freelance resources as and when needed and schedule work for them.

The Project Manager must foresee scheduling conflicts and take quick action when schedules go off course.

The Project Manager needs to be firm yet fair, always seeking to ensure timely delivery of all campaigns, helping out wherever they can and motivating everyone to deliver their part of the job on time and according to agreed-upon specifications.

This role will suit an enthusiastic, organized and proactive person with excellent communication skills who can keep a cool head under pressure.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects moving smoothly by planning and managing resource allocation and effective time management.
  • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders to balance workloads and advocate for appropriate timelines on projects.
  • Manage expectations by keeping all stakeholders informed of conflicts, delays or any other unusual situations.
  • Implement required workflow and tools to ensure smooth flow of jobs through the system.
  • Ensure incoming job requests contain information needed to assign relevant resources and deliver the next stage artwork/creative/FA effectively.
  • Communicate job status information to relevant parties.
  • Promote smooth workflow and communication between departments.
  • Attend WIP meetings to accurately understand current & anticipated workloads.
  • Procure quotations from suppliers for art buying.
  • Resourcing freelance requirements as and when required and sorting paperwork accordingly.
  • Booking all creative meetings, WIPs, Presentations etc.

Desired skills and experience

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an advertising environment
  • Switch over from other departments in an advertising environment is welcomed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills Highly organized
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and positive personality
  • A proactive team player with a strong can-do attitude
  • Receptive to changes
  • Good people management skills
  • A good understanding of print and production communications
  • A proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple concurrent projects and work independently in a fast-paced office
