Blackbox Research – Creative Communications Intern

This role will assist the Communications Manager in a variety of projects including primarily, the creation of original content that supports our research and consulting functions. The candidate will work across the Public Policy and Commercial research teams, acting as an in-house graphic communications counsel. In addition, he/she will coordinate in-house marketing and communications activities.

Candidates interested in a part-time position/on a freelance basis may also be considered.

Job Description

• Develop and create original concepts and content to support our client project and our business (videos, graphics, newsletters, infographics etc.)
• Contribute to writing and editing of news releases, internal and external news stories and publications
• Monitor, interpret and leverage emerging socio-political and consumer trends for content marketing
• Run monthly analytics report across company social media assets and analyze trends
• Assist in ensuring consistent brand standards both within the messaging and visual style
• Assist with internal communications
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Experience

• Currently enrolled in courses in the field of marketing, communications or graphic design or equivalent
• Proficiency in graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Ability to analyze and organize complex data
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to details and organization skills
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Video production and editing skills preferred (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere)
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Keyword Planner and AdWords preferred
