Company Background
Bioenergy owns and operates a Waste-to-Energy Facility in the Lim Chu Kang area (the “Biogas Plant”); it is the first-ever commercial flagship biogas plant in Singapore. The Biogas Plant is equipped with advanced bio-digestion technology to generate renewable energy from the chicken manure produced by Seng Choon Farm.
Bioenergy's main goal is to generate 100% clean and green power from biogas and transmit the green power back to the farm as well as supply excess green electricity to the national grid, which resonates with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 to achieve Green goals and the goal of Net Zero.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Follow GM / Senior Operator's(SO) instructions to operate the Plant to achieve100% availability.
- Operate the process plant and control the process parameters in accordance to the standard operation procedures to meet company’s objectives.
- Responsible for the SCADA operation in the control room.
- Monitor the performance of the facilities and maintain logs of daily operational information and activities.
- Perform routine patrol and record status of facilities.
- Perform regular operational tasks at the facilities in accordance to the SOP.
- Identify and pro-actively respond to abnormality.
- Support the Shift Supervisor in performing the operational duties.
- Monitor daily chemical consumption and stock level and alert GM/SO to re-order chemical promptly.
- Identify and pro-actively respond to abnormality.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the GM/SO and/or Management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma Holder in Engineering or related discipline
- Singapore citizenship or PR
- Minimum 1 years of experience in Biogas / chemical / wastewater plant operations. Fresh graduates are welcome to join
- Good knowledge in operating process equipment (i.e. pump, valves, blowers, fans, conveyors)
- Experience in water treatment processes such as UF and RO membrane operation will be an added advantage.
- Able to work on a rotating 12 hrs shift schedule/cycle when required.
- Able to converse in simple English and PC literate.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
