Job Description

We are looking for a talent to join our Asia Pacific Corporate Communications team as an intern for our event management program.

The objective of the Corporate Communications - Event Management Internship program is to provide students or fresh graduate with the opportunity to expand upon their academic foundation - specifically their technical skills, their knowledge of the industry and their familiarity with a corporate environment.  This program will introduce the students to Barry Callebaut, as well as the Corporate Communications group. This internship program is specifically on Event Management.


Responsibilities:

Working with Corporate Communications Director for Asia Pacific and other team members to support in event management of an internal business conference. Your tasks will include:

• Day-to-day planning, coordination and implementation of the conference

• Sourcing and liaison with vendors

• Manage overall logistic arrangement for the conference

• Ensure events are successfully executed as planned and within the allocated budget and timeline

• Provide admin and onsite support for the event

• Consolidate survey responses and analyses data collected

• Ad-hoc duties assigned


Requirements:

• Diploma or degree student/holder

• Preferably a background in mass communications or event management

• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail

• Good interpersonal skills

• Creative and flexible; able to add strategic input throughout the course of the project.

• Able to start immediately and intern till at least end-October 2017
