About BarberBoss

BarberBoss is an award-winning, young yet fast-rising British personal care brand. Our product range spans grooming (for men, women and pets), oral care (electric toothbrushes and water flossers), and our recently launched hair styling range (hairdryer, hot air styler, straightener).

Design sits at the core of our business, it shapes how our products look, feel, and communicate, from packaging to e-Commerce, to how we earn trust with customers. We sell across 10 European countries (including the UK), and we move fast with a small, flat team, weekly all-hands, and an AI-first approach that helps us decide quickly and execute well.

We are proud partners of Everton F.C. and West Bromwich Albion F.C., and this year we are also launching two new brands, one designed for Gen Z, and one designed for women.

If you care about craft, love good storytelling, and want a real learning environment with mentorship and feedback, we would love to hear from you.

Job Description

DESIGN INTERN (SG)

This position starts immediately and follows an onsite work model in Singapore (one-north). Please note that visa sponsorship is not provided, and applicants must be based in Singapore with valid work authorisation.

Calling all detail-loving designers who want to learn how real brands get built, not just make pretty layouts.

About the internship

This is a 6-month internship designed for entry-level designers who want to grow fast. You will work closely with the design team in Singapore, receive mentorship and regular feedback, and build hands-on experience across packaging, e-commerce, and brand-building. You will be given real work, with guidance, reviews, and a clear path to improve.

What you’ll do (and where you’ll contribute with the team)

  • Develop and refine packaging styles using our brand guidelines, then turn them into production-ready files with guidance and reviews (layout, typography, icons, barcodes, and required info)

  • Create ecommerce visuals for our website and Amazon listings, including banners, product highlight images, simple icons, and on-brand graphics that support clarity and conversion

  • Work on brand and launch assets across our brands, including merchandise and marketing collaterals, for example stickers, tote bags, inserts, simple 3D mockups, social post visuals, and basic event materials

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop brand story, visual direction, and creative concepts, helping shape how each brand shows up across touchpoints

  • Support design tasks from brief to delivery within the team, with clear standards, regular reviews, and increasing responsibility over time

  • Use AI and design tools to explore fast concept routes, then refine and polish them into final-ready deliverables

Who we’re looking for

  • We care a lot about taste and craft. If you love details and take pride in polish, you’ll fit right in

  • Have a portfolio across packaging styles and other design collaterals (ecommerce imagery, illustrations, or similar) that shows craft and attention to detail

  • Visual fundamentals, with an eye for layout and hierarchy, typography, spacing, and colour

  • Comfortable with Canva, Figma, and Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator), open to learning new tools and workflows

  • Storytelling instincts and an interest in brand narrative

  • Strong colour sense, comfortable working with Pantone and colour systems, and curious about Pantone trends

  • Passionate about branding and marketing with a habit of staying up to date and practising your craft as trends evolve

  • A growth mindset with a curious, open-minded approach, comfortable with change, able to manage priorities, and learning as you go

  • Hands-on, resilient, and able to take feedback well, willing to voice out ideas and showcase creative thinking

  • Able to commit for 6 months, and we’d love someone who can start immediately

  • Nice to have: Interest in UI/UX, basic Blender skills, video editing or animation, illustration skills

  • Mandarin proficiency is a bonus, but not required

What you’ll get with us

  • Monthly allowance: S$1,300 to S$1,500

  • Onsite at one-north, with 1 WFH day per week

  • Mentorship, regular feedback, and a strong learning curve across real brand work

  • Exposure to the full workflow, from early concepts to live ecommerce listings across multiple EU markets

  • Potential conversion opportunity to a full-time role for high-performing interns, including full-time salary and employee benefits

  • Opportunity for UK HQ training after conversion, based on business needs and individual readiness
