MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN
Mechanical Design and Development of UAV Drone Systems
Design and development of UAV related systems
1. Design UAV related systems and infrastructure
2. Prototype, fabricate and manufacture parts
3. Assist in testing of prototypes and recording of test results
4. Design product improvements
5. Design features to improve manufacturability, assembly and repair
6. Liaise with external parties and suppliers for production and to ensure parts made are within specifications
Job Role Responsibilities:
General Mechanical Design Tasks
1. Create jigs/fixtures that aid in testing and quality control
2. Create structures that aid in day to day operations
3. Liaise with external parties and suppliers for production and to ensure parts made are within specifications
4. Be the subject-matter expert in all aspects of mechanical design
Operating, Servicing and Maintenance of 3D printers
1. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
2. Ensure 3D printers are in working order
3. Be the subject-matter expert in all aspects of 3D Printing
Job Requirements:
1. Fluent in Solidworks (or other CAD softwares) for mechanical design
2. General appreciation for mechanical engineering concepts i.e. Stress and Strain, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), Design for Repair, Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T)
3. Experience with 3D printing and fabrication processes is a plus
4. Possess good communication skills
5. Be self-directed and self-motivated
6. Ability to work in a team
7. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
