Autism Association (Singapore) or AA(S), is a Social Service Agency dedicated to supporting and serving individuals with autism to maximise their potential, helping them lead meaningful and quality lives in society.

The Association manages a suite of programmes and services under the Eden brand portfolio. These include:

  • Eden Children’s Centre for young children with autism (aged 2 – 6 years old)
  • Eden School, www.edenschool.edu.sg, for children and youths (aged 7 – 18 years old)
  • Eden Centre for Adults (Clementi and Hougang) (aged 18 – 55 years old)
  • Eden Activity Club for persons with autism who may not be accessing programmes and services

AA(S) programmes and services aim to impart life-skills to maximise the potential of persons with autism to lead dignified, independent, meaningful and quality lives in society. The profile of our students and adult clients leans toward moderate to severe autism.

Job Description

 Case Work

  • Assist in establishing rapport and build professional relationship with clients and significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.)
  • Use different modes of engagement (e.g. home visits, telephone interview, face-to-face interview, etc.) for the purpose of assessment, intervention and monitoring
  • Follow up and review care/case plans and assist in providing recommendations to modify care/case plans where necessary
  • Assist to document and maintain case files and prepare reports according to the required documentation standard
  • Support in conducting of care/case planning and goal setting with client based on standard guidelines and professional assessments
  • Participate in intra-case conferences as part of a multi-disciplinary team

 

Programme Development and Implementation

  • Assist in the development of programmes through data collection and the conduct of basic analysis
  • Assist in the implementation of programmes
  • Assist in the promotion of programmes to target client groups or other stakeholders/partners/agencies (e.g. understanding of the various services and programmes available) and advise stakeholder to undertake relavant programmes and services

 

  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or School Management.
