Autism Association (Singapore) or AA(S), is a Social Service Agency dedicated to supporting and serving individuals with autism to maximise their potential, helping them lead meaningful and quality lives in society.

The Association manages a suite of programmes and services under the Eden brand portfolio. These include:

  • Eden Children’s Centre for young children with autism (aged 2 – 6 years old)
  • Eden School, www.edenschool.edu.sg, for children and youths (aged 7 – 18 years old)
  • Eden Centre for Adults (Clementi and Hougang) (aged 18 – 55 years old)
  • Eden Activity Club for persons with autism who may not be accessing programmes and services

AA(S) programmes and services aim to impart life-skills to maximise the potential of persons with autism to lead dignified, independent, meaningful and quality lives in society. The profile of our students and adult clients leans toward moderate to severe autism.

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with autism?

If you're eagerly awaiting your university enrollment, completing National Service, or a recent graduate seeking a career in Special Education, our teaching internship program is the perfect opportunity for you.

As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by working closely with our dedicated Educators and Therapists. This internship offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the dynamic environment of a Special Education School, supporting students' learning journeys and directly engaging with them.

We welcome students and undergraduates from all fields of study, as well as graduates eager to explore the Special Education industry. Join our internship program and embark on a rewarding experience that will broaden your horizons and deepen your understanding of working with individuals with autism.

Period: Between June 2023 - November 2023

Work days: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm

Internship allowance: $1,250 per month
