Aural-Aid is an acoustics company founded in 2013 and is currently headquartered in Singapore. We provide acoustical treatment and soundproofing supply and build services to schools, hospitals, and government institutions. Our manufacturing arm designs and makes acoustic panels for commercial and education sector, while our contract arm installs acoustic panels for auditoriums, cinemas, offices, and residences.

Objectives
Students will be attached to a mentor to experience the walk of life of a project manager. They will participate in meetings with clients (architects, interior designers, main contractors), assist with document preparation and project management. During this process, students are encouraged to pick up real knowledge on architectural acoustics, construction methods, project and client management to gain meaningful insight on the building industry.
Project Management
(1) Understanding fundamentals of acoustic environments and its solutions
(2) Understanding of existing products, including product characteristics and installation processes/challenges
(3) Project Management
Pre-commencement of project
- Assist and prepare necessary documents (e.g. CAD files, quotations)
- Speak to architects, interior designers and main contractors
- Liaise with suppliers
Commencement of project
- Point of contact for clients and other engaged third-parties (e.g. subcontractors)
- Execute project according to plan
- Review work quality
- Consolidate on-site product feedback, propose improvements
