ASIAN GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE celebrates Asia’s diversity, covering environmental issues, science, exploration, travel, heritage, arts and cultures. Based in Singapore, the team has its fingers on the pulse of Asia, with award-winning contributors scouring the region to bring you powerful stories and images. Titles under Asian Geographic Magazines include its flagship title Asian Geographic, as well as Passport, Asian Geographic Junior, and diving titles, Asian Diver, Scuba Diver andUW360. Asian Geographic Magazines Pte Ltd also holds the reigns of the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), Asia’s biggest and longest running dive show.
The editorial intern will have the opportunity to:
- Research and write for three magazine titles: Asian Geographic, Asian Geographic Junior and Asian Geographic Passport
- Write and post on online platforms such as our website and social media pages
- Assist in picture research for features
- Copy edit and proofread features
- Attend media launches and press events
- Brainstorm for article ideas and editorial line-up
- Assist in coordinating AG events such as the Hot Soup School Challenge and the Images of Asia Photo Competition
The editorial intern must possess the below qualities:
* A flair for the English language with meticulous grammar skills
* Good general knowledge and an interest in current affairs in Asia
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn about editorial production
* A strong interest in pursuing a career in writing and publishing after graduation
* Ideally a university student or recent graduate; final year poly grads will also be considered
** Note that a mandatory copy editing and writing test will be required at the interview stage.
