Intern, Regulatory Affairs 

Job description

  • To research on the regulatory measures across the globe pertaining innovative Medical Technologies (including medical devices, IVDs, Digital Health, etc.) by mapping the best practices in (1) regulatory pathways for innovative MedTech products, as well as (2) regulations for disruptive innovation (including Medical Devices using AI technologies, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) using big data, Personalized Medical Devices, Telemedicine, etc.);
  • To identify gaps and needs in capacity building among MedTech regulatory agencies in coping with disruptive innovation, by closely working with MedTech regulators across the region and regulatory professionals from 100+ member companies covering a full spectrum of products and services;
  • To propose recommendations for APACMed workplans with the aim of promoting innovation and driving better outcomes for patients;
  • To better understand trends and developments in MedTech industry as well as the product lifecycle management by working with the APACMed healthcare ecosystem (including policy makers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, academia, NGOs, etc.) and attending a variety of APACMed enrichment events and meetings.
  • To hone the communication and leadership skills by assisting the Director in managing a committee of over 200+ regulatory professionals, and a variety of regulatory projects with various external stakeholders.
