AltSchool International – Internship – Assistant Teacher

We’re on the lookout for interns who are curious, compassionate, and eager to learn. Whether you’re exploring a future in education, psychology, special needs, or early childhood development, you’ll get first-hand experience supporting children’s learning journeys in a deeply respectful, collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting teachers and therapists in the classroom and during therapy sessions
• Assisting with preparation of learning materials, task boxes, and classroom setup
• Participating in group activities, play-based learning, and sensory experiences
• •Contributing to a calm, nurturing space that honours each child’s pace and potential

What we're looking for:

• Students or recent graduates in Early Childhood, Psychology, Education, Social Work or related fields
• A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
• Patience, initiative, and openness to feedback
• Respect for neurodiversity and child-led learning
• Bonus if you’re familiar with Montessori, DIR Floortime, or TEACCH approaches—but not essential
