About the RoleWe are looking for a Chinese-speaking Admin Intern to support daily business operations, including coordination with Chinese suppliers and partners. This role is suitable for motivated individuals who are organized, responsible, and eager to gain hands-on business experience. Training will be provided.
This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work remotely with occasional onsite duties if required.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Online research and data entry
- Organizing documents, invoices, and purchase records
- Basic bookkeeping support (recording orders, tracking payments)
- Filing and maintaining digital records
Purchasing & China Supplier Coordination
- Sourcing products from China (e.g., Taobao, 1688, Alibaba or direct suppliers)
- Communicating with Chinese suppliers in Mandarin
- Requesting quotations and comparing prices
- Coordinating orders, shipment, and delivery timelines
- Following up on production status and logistics updates
- Assisting with translation (Chinese * English) when required
Operations & Communication
- Messaging, follow-ups, and coordination with suppliers/clients
- Assisting in order tracking and updating internal records
- Simple content assistance (basic writing, translation, or posting – if applicable)
- Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Able to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) – speaking required; reading/writing strongly preferred
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers from China
- Basic English communication skills
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Basic computer skills (Google Docs, Excel, email, messaging apps)
- Stable internet connection
- Interns and fresh graduates are welcome
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with Taobao, 1688, Alibaba, or other Chinese platforms
- Knowledge of import/shipping processes
- Experience in purchasing or supplier coordination
- Familiar with Canva or simple design tools
