We are looking for an “EXCEPTIONAL” PHP Developer Intern to join us. This PHP Developer Intern will work closely with various departments from the Sales, Tech, Operations and Marketing team to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers. You will participate in the full development lifecycle and have the opportunity to work in many different areas to identify what really excites you. Someone who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. • Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Developing back-end portals with an optimized database.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Responding to integration requests from front-end developers.
• Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications.
• Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements:
• Related fields in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience in mobile/web development
• Knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Yii, Laravel, and CodeIgniter.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, CVS, and SVN.
• Good problem solving skill
• Understanding of the full web/mobile development life cycle, BONUS - front/end/full stack preferably
