Job Description

UI/UX Design Intern (Dec-Jun 2022)


As our UI/UX Design Intern, you will drive digital product design improvements and innovation that will in turn improve the user experiences. During this internship, you will get the opportunity to expand your knowledge about mobile iOS, Android and web interface designs, understand the considerations from different stakeholders such as medical doctors, lay-users and business development managers, and work hand in hand with designers, product managers and engineers to design and build medical product interfaces. Responsibilities

  • Collating insights through mixed methods user research and translation of findings into production-ready designs

  • Conceptualise and prototype UI/UX solutions for mobile iOS, Android and web platform, ensuring all interactions are intuitive for users

  • Creating and utilizing design style guides to drive consistency across all mobile iOS, Android and web platform, keeping updated on modern UI/UX design patterns

  • Iterating on designs to improve the interactions and usability based on feedback 

  • Present and discuss design solutions with project stakeholders

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Design or related Social Science field. 

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Interest in working in healthcare domain is preferred

  • Proficient in prototyping/wireframing tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc)

  • Proficient in design softwares (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc) 

  • Knowledge in creating UI animation is a bonus

  • Detail-oriented and have a keen eye for aesthetics

  • Takes initiative, great team player, open to feedback and swift in picking up new concepts

  • Attach a portfolio that showcases your design work and provides detail about your design thinking processes and your role for team projects upon application

Learning Outcomes

  • Exposure to product management and develop interpersonal skills while working collaboratively with different stakeholders such as business and engineering team to design and develop medical products

  • Develop communication skills while conducting usability studies with different lay-users and medical doctors

  • Learn about how to present data and insights effectively and conduct design pitch independently.
