Job Description

Procurement Analyst Intern 

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Primary Responsibilities

The Procurement Administrative Executive is responsible for participating in routine sourcing and purchasing activities in mechanical parts fabrication and services to deliver on projects. He/She should be comfortable engaging and interacting with both internal, external parties, to fulfil his/her responsibilities in coordinating vendor & project development processes, maintaining vendor contract records and databases, monitor engineering build plan, engineering’s requirements and following up on vendors' deliverable.

Requirements

  • Participate in Procurement Engineering Team’s mechanical components strategic sourcing, RFQ, VAVE, etc. day to day operations.
  • Assist the dedicated engineering’s RFQ, Cost estimation, development program.
  • Assist Procurement Engineering team manage new and alternative suppliers to support direct and indirect materials/equipment/tools from inside and outside of Singapore.
  • To ensure Approved Vendor List (AVL), vendor performance is maintained, monitored
  • Perform ad hoc duties as requested
  • Ability to work independently and a good team player
  • Support Feasibility Studies of new projects costing and perform material costs estimation to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Participate actively in company cost improvement programs by support Procurement Engineering Manager sourcing for cost competitive suppliers in low-cost countries.
  • To liaise with all cross functional departments on quality evaluation and improvement activities
  • Monitor and follow up weekly on all progress status to ensure planned targets are met.
  • Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Clarify bid queries with vendors.
  • Support to maintain procurement database and documentation in terms of TQRDC, Drawing, Cost template, QBR.

Requirement

  • Diploma or degree in Business/Marketing/Electrical Engineering, etc field study.
  • Good communication, Quick learner, well in project management skills
  • Able to think out of the box to explore avenues to meet project deadlines.
  • Well converse in English, multilingual would be value added advantage.
  • Computer literate, Good in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to analyse purchase statistics and provide fact-based conclusion.
  • Can commence immediately.
