ADI Designs – Embedded Engineer

Job Description 

We are a product design and development company, with expertises in robotics, IoT and automation. We’re looking for a highly-skilled embedded engineer to join our team. If you are competent with embedded tech, works fast and enjoy learning about new things, this is the job for you.

Job Responsibilities

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design in C/C++/C#/Python/Java/Linux shell scripts/Matlab under Windows/Linux Environments.
• Understand major communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, ...) and how these compare in terms of possible reasons for failure, limitations and differences.
• Carry out validation of successive versions of software to integrate with total system hardware.
• Applying embedded system’s theories and principles, perform work in research, design and development of new products.
• Sourcing suitable components for developing into assembled PCBs
• Proficiency in reading data-sheet
• Track, document, and maintain project documentations—both internally and externally, leveraging opportunities to improve engineering productivity.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong technical skill with C++, C#, Java or other mainstream programming languages(has relevant project experience), and have high-performance service R&D experience
• Independent and self driven with a strong focus on results
• Desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, embedded systems, information technology or other related fields.

Advantages

• Experienced with cloud development and web APIs (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)
• Interest in any of the following areas: Machine Learning, Data Analytics, IoT, Graphical User Interfaces or full web stack development.
• Experienced with the respective IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse or IDLE)
• Experienced in embedded system.
• Knowledge of mobile application development (either Android or iOS).
• Adequate understanding of algorithms, flow charts and mathematical concepts that form the basis of computer programming
• Proficiency in Linux system principles, understand the system structure or distributed system knowledge
• Proficiency in Mandarin
