The CNC Programmer's responsibilities include creating CNC programs for control of machining of parts to specifications.
Job Description
- Writing and modification of 3 & 5 axis turn mill/turning/milling CNC programs as well as creating setup sheets
- Assist machinist for troubleshooting of NC programming issues.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing programs for greater efficiency
- To select and recommend tools purchases and/or new equipment to support product manufacturing.
- To create routing/work instructions for machining parts.
- To assess and provide feedback on product design and manufacturability related issues.
- Recommend improvements on existing CAM or programming work flow.
Job Requirement
- ITE/ NITEC/ Higher NITEC (Precision Engineering) or Diploma
- Working knowledge of 3 & 5 axis milling CNC programs programming codes
- Experienced and able to operate 3 & 5 axis milling CNC
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
