Job Description

Primary Function

  • Monitors and maintains systems and resolves problems.
  • Analyzes software and hardware problems and coordinates workable solutions.
  • Performs system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
  • Ensures availability of systems and application environments through proactive as well as reactive maintenance.
  • Ensures policies and standards adherence is consistent with Corporate/ Division standards.
  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that IT applications meet the needs of the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties on IT applications related subjects.
  • Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment of both infrastructure and applications.
  • Able to execute IT projects applied locally or by corporates.
  • Keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide IT technical expertise to Engineering and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Ability to perform detailed operational analysis of data collection and controls software.
  • Solution testing and validation documentation.
  • Leadership in building and maintaining outside (vendor) technical resources in support of solution implementation and maintenance.
  • Investigate/ troubleshoot control systems to allow optimization of system operations.
  • Communicate with project teams for regular updates, reports, and customer project evaluations.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for internal and external customers on varied control systems.
  • Taking design review leadership to assure the solution meets operation’s needs.
  • Ensure that the testing and change control strategies meet corporate policy requirements.
  • Integration of hardware, software, communication protocols and interfaces to the users.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline
  • Min 3-5 years of relevant experience in systems support within a manufacturing environment preferred, candidates with experience in product serialization application is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level.
  • Experience with Cloud Based system implementation will be advantageous
  • Excellent in SDLC (System Development Lifecycle) and computer system validation methodologies.
  • Requires to be familiar and hand on with Oracle database technologies , scripting in SQL,PL SQL ,Dot Net, C#, JavaScript , SharePoint.
  • Knowledge in Web technologies will be advantageous.
  • Foundation Knowledge in OSIPI, PCS 7 (or other Automation and control systems, data historian system)
  • Knowledge of various system communication platforms/protocols (e.g. OPC, standardized interface with HMI and control systems, HTTP and API , Modbus, Profibus or equivalent)
  • Experience with working in a matrix organization, and to operate in a geographically diverse, and multiple time zones environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
