As a member of the AAM Academy, you will be expected to take and pass 6 regulatory exams in the first year with the assistance of office based training sessions and home study. You will also be mentored by one of AAM’s Directors or Senior Financial Planners.
During the first year, you will attend weekly training sessions on all aspects of financial planning. This will include product, sales, sales administration, financial markets and systems training. A confident manner both face to face and via telephone is essential as you will be contacting potential and current clients to arrange meetings.
You will also be assisting to source and arrange networking events and seminars, as well as building your own business network both face-to-face and online.
- This is a sales focused role so the successful candidate must be target driven, motivated and a self starter.
- Contacting clients and setting up meetings;
- Conducting in-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims;
- Sourcing and arranging events and seminars
- Network through events and establish relationships with perspective clients
- Once graduated to Financial Advisor:
- Assisting clients to make informed decisions;
- Designing financial strategies
- Develop appropriate technical and market awareness knowledge;
- Reviewing and responding to clients changing needs and financial circumstances;
- Promoting and selling financial products to meet given or negotiated sales targets;
- Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation;
- Producing financial reports;
- Contacting clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments;
- Meeting the regulatory aspects of the role, e.g. requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided and also the advised products.
