99.co is looking for a User Research Intern to join our diverse team of people who are passionate about taking the real estate industry properly into the age of technology through innovation and a desire to solve its multitude of challenges.
You are someone passionate about creating user experiences that are highly intuitive and motivational. You think about the big picture, the brand, and end-to-end user experience. You love working in a team and enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of people. You enjoy engaging with other people on your team to generate and evaluate ideas, and to produce awe-inspiring work. You have an understanding that design is about working hand-in-hand with fellow collaborators across all phases of development from ideation to completion.
What you'll do:
- Working on UX research projects for consumer and property agent facing products at 99.co
- Collaborating closely with product designers and product managers to identify how user research insights can be actioned into design deliverables
- Daily tasks will involve recruiting users for testing, helping conduct user research and usability testing sessions, identifying pain points and opportunities of users, consolidation and presentation of synthesized user research insights
- Working on UI designs (wireframes and/or high fidelity) with product designers
What you have/are/will be:
- Excellent written and spoken English, love working with people (user research will involve a lot of talking!)
- Experience with user research/design thinking preferred
- Confident using Google Sheets (organizing recruitment) and Google Slides (presenting research findings)
- Good collaborative and team-first mindset, willingness to learn and share
- Looking to move into a user research or UI/UX designer position
- Able to make sense of large amounts of information and derive insights
- Great organizational and people skills
- Takes initiative to try new methods and improve research recruiting, documenting and conducting processes
- Bonus: Proficient in Figma and using Figjam
- Able to commit from August 2021 to January 2022 (6 months internship) on a full-time basis or part time basis of 3 full working days per week (Option of full time employment will be considered at end of internship!)
