Nightowl SEO is a boutique SEO agency based in Singapore and Malaysia. We are made up of a specialised team of technical marketers, who have been dabbling with digital marketing especially SEO since 2013. We help our Clients become the best of the best within their industry, by making them visible everywhere in the search engine from local to regional, growing the volume of their web traffic, through SEO and SEM.
We are seeking someone to take on the role of an Digital Marketing (SEO / SEM) Intern, who has a passion in creating engaging content narratives, a curiosity for how search engines work, and finds fulfilment in cracking the code towards ranking breakthroughs in Google.
Learning Outcomes & Objectives
- Broaden your knowledge on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
- Widen your horizon by writing or proofreading for various industries
- Understand latest search algorithms and changes in the SEO landscape
- Develop technical and analytical skills in executing SEO and PPC Campaigns
- Learn how to effectively measure and drive SEO or PPC campaign performance
- Get coached and trained in noticing blind spots in digital marketing processes and crafting solutions to deliver value to clients
Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain SEO daily routines and PPC campaigns
- Assist Campaign Managers in managing, executing, and optimising PPC campaigns
- Assist in the management and tracking of keyword bids, expenditure caps and other key account metrics
- Setup, execute and optimise new and existing paid search ads, ad groups and accounts
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from PPC campaigns
- Perform keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities that drive qualified web traffic
- Perform competitive analysis on industry competitors
- Conduct SEO audit on clients’ websites to determine areas for improvement and optimisation
- Optimise content on websites using SEO target keywords, with a proven SEO framework
- Conduct technical SEO optimisation and work with the team to fix technical website issue that may negatively impact organic search rankings
- Research and creatively develop topic ideas that can drive relevant traffic to Clients’ websites
- Occasional writing and proofreading of SEO articles for client’s website
- Integrate and analyse data from Analytics tools (E.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
- Executing SEO content strategies for blogs / websites
- Other SEO or SEM tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Min. 3 months. 6 months will be preferred.
- Great command of English language for the purpose of writing and proofreading articles
- Good command of Mandarin language for the purpose of conducting keyword research and copywriting for PPC campaigns
- Passionate about content creation
- Currently enrolled in or hold a Degree/Diploma in marketing related fields
- Has own personal laptop / desktop to work remotely
- Meticulous with an attention to detail
- Great team player, yet independent and self motivated in managing workload effectively
- Proactive, receptive to feedback, and adaptive to changes
Good to have:
- Basic understanding of SEO and SEM
- Knowledge or experience using WordPress, or other Content Management Systems
- Knowledge or experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools
- Prior experience in digital marketing will be a bonus
Working Days & Hours:
Monday to Friday, except for public holidays, 9.30am to 6.30pm SGT
