Job Description
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of production machinery, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
  • Conduct routine equipment health inspections, monitor machine performance, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Diagnose machine faults and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
  • Coordinate and lead maintenance activities with production personnel to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and according to schedule.
  • Coordinate with machine OEMs, suppliers, and external service contractors for technical support, repairs, upgrades, and equipment improvement.
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Source quotations, monitor procurement lead times, and support maintenance cost control within the approved budget.
  • Lead or participate in machine installation, commissioning, modification, automation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), plant utilities, and building facility maintenance projects.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation, equipment history, calibration records, and SOPs are maintained and kept up to date.
  • Attend internal, customer, and external audits, and provide engineering support, documentation, and corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in the standby duty roster and respond to machine breakdowns outside normal working hours when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
  • Technical Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, drives, HMIs, and industrial automation.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, KEB, Yaskawa, or similar control systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, TPM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CMMS.

Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in repair and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production machinery, industrial automation, and plant equipment.
  • Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Experience in machine installation, commissioning, or improvement projects is an advantage..

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
