Social Media Intern (6 -12 Months) | Create Content, Build Your Portfolio & Make a Social Impact

About the Role 

We are looking for a creative and digitally savvy Social Media Intern to join our Community Relations team. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about content creation, digital storytelling, and social media engagement. You will play a key role in revitalising our presence on youth-focused platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, while contributing to content development across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct an audit of Tsao Foundation's existing social media presence, particularly dormant channels such as TikTok and YouTube. 
  • Analyse audience engagement and social media performance metrics. 
  • Develop recommendations to strengthen engagement and brand awareness. 
  • Assist in planning, creating, and publishing content across multiple social media platforms. 
  • Produce multimedia content, including short-form videos, photography, graphics, and reels. 
  • Monitor content performance and provide insights for continuous improvement. Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for content planning and content management. 
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments to uncover and tell meaningful stories that showcase our impact. 

What We Are Looking For 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in: Mass Communications Marketing Journalism Film & Media Studies Digital Marketing Or other related disciplines. 
  • Active user of social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Familiarity with AI-powered content creation tools is an advantage. 
  • Basic photography, videography, editing, and post-production skills. 
  • Strong storytelling and content creation abilities. 
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in measuring content performance. 
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
