Job Description

KLASS is seeking a Behavioural Science Intern to support structured data annotation, evaluation, and user-centred research for AI models analysing subtle behavioural signals. This role involves refining annotation guidelines, ensuring inter-coder reliability, and applying qualitative research methodologies, the conduct of user interviews and focus groups, to improve data collection strategies.

The intern will gain hands-on experience working with multimodal datasets, validating annotation consistency, and exploring the intersection of physiological responses, behavioural patterns, and AI-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

  1. Support the creation and refinement of structured guidelines for labelling behavioural and physiological data to ensure precision and reproducibility.
  2. Participate in qualitative research efforts, including user interviews and participatory design sessions, to refine data collection strategies and annotation methods.
  3. Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and algorithm researchers to curate high-quality datasets tailored for AI model training.
  4. Assist in identifying inconsistencies in annotations and contribute to refining processes for improved data accuracy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in psychology, neuroscience/ cognitive science, linguistics, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
  2. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize subtle variations in human behavioural data.
  3. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  4. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn in a multidisciplinary research environment.
