Job Description

Part Time Football / Soccer Coach


Important note: Coaches MUST be able to work evenings and weekends. Provide high standard football coaching to players across all age groups, fostering their development in line with the Academy’s philosophy and methodology. Support programme management to deliver a dynamic and progressive football development programme that promotes respect, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver football coaching sessions that align with the Academy Performance Plan to develop players’ skills and understanding across all age groups
  • Collaborate with the Programme Manager to organise and implement a creative and progressive football development programme
  • Enforce club values by ensuring players demonstrate respect and discipline during training and matches
  • Maintain comprehensive coaching and games records for each session throughout the season to track player progress and programme effectiveness
  • Promote healthy lifestyle habits among young players, including education on diet, drug awareness, and overall wellbeing
  • Manage and maintain training equipment and playing kits for all age groups to ensure readiness and safety
  • Assess trialists during training sessions and matches, providing detailed feedback to the Academy Programme Manager for selection decisions
  • Represent the club at tournaments and trips as requested, supporting player development and club visibility
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with key stakeholders including parents, coaches, and service providers to foster a supportive environment
  • Uphold all club policies, including Safeguarding, Equality, and Health & Safety, to maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants

Required competencies and certifications

  • Hold a minimum of UEFA C Coaching Licence or its equivalent
  • Possess a valid first aid qualification
  • Demonstrate experience working with players under 14 years old and above
  • Willingness to participate in a physical coaching interview to assess practical coaching skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Registration with NROC & MOE is desirable but not essential
