Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the accurate weighing and measuring of ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
- Preparing baking trays, moulds and equipment for use.
- Ensuring all ingredients are fresh and stored correctly.
- Learning and assisting in the mixing of various doughs and batters for breads, pastries, cakes and other baked items.
- Understanding the functions of different ingredients and their impact on final products.
- Operating and maintaining mixing equipment.
- Assisting in shaping, proofing and baking of products in industrial ovens.
- Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
- Learning basic finishing techniques such as decorating and portioning.
- Adhering strictly to all recipes, production specifications and quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation / production area at all times.
- Operating equipment safely and reporting any malfunction or hazards.
- Assisting with other duties as required to support the department.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work diligently.
- Good physical stamina as the role involves standing for long hours / lifting and moving ingredients.
- Basic understanding of Food & Hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume production environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to work in a non-halal environment.
