ABOUT FOUNDER/DESIGNER
Jaren Ho, a self-taught fashion designer founded Singapore’s first cruise wear label YACHT 21.
It was after a boat voyage in 2009 that inspired Jaren to embark on a free-spirited journey of creating both contemporary yet functional collections. Her designs are kept clean and functional, yet varied in the wearer's individual aesthetic. Understanding the region's tropical climate, Jaren placed strong focus on creating summer-friendly collections throughout the year. She integrated lightweight and breathable materials such as denim, cotton and poplin to fulfil the daily need of the metropolitan ladies.
Jaren went out-of-the-box by reinventing her classic collection to give the collection a feeling of timelessness. She also incorporated tropical prints and summer colours to bring the collection’s aesthetics to a whole new level. From, casual weekend wear to a stylish ensemble for work, YACHT 21 won the hearts of many and caught the attention of several prestigious departmental stores in Singapore, including Robinsons and Tangs where the label is currently represented.
Today, Jaren continues to push the boundaries with her creativity by playing the role as creative director and owner of YACHT 21.
